Why Develop Flavours With Essential?
Our comprehensive flavour range includes liquids, emulsions and powders. To compliment our extensive range of Nature Identical and Artificial flavours our Natural range is rapidly expanding to meet growing industry demand. Our knowledge in flavour and food industry trends enables us to create new flavours that meet the current demand. Our flavours are created with specific tastes in mind, therefore we are able to adapt flavour to suit your application. Many of our flavours are used in applications that under-go significant heat treatment and have proven heat-stability.

Essentials traditional strengths are flavours for “sweet” applications. This includes:

  •  All Fruit types (Berries, Citrus, Tropical)
  • Brown Flavours (Vanilla, Cameral, Chocolate)
  • Dairy Flavours (Cream, Yoghurt)
  • Masking/Boosting Flavours (Sweetness Enhancer)


A key area of active market growth is in our Spray Dried flavours. For flavour solutions in cake and desert mixes, high protein dry mix beverages, breakfast cereals, value added dairy powders or nutritional snack products an Essential powdered flavour could be just what you are looking for. With our large range of NI powders and our ever expanding Natural range we now have a range that exceeds 70 profiles of which over 30 are held in stock.

Our on-going success in these areas is due to high quality, competitively priced flavours with short lead times (for stock items) and low minimum order quantities. Our powders are packed in 20kg multiwall Kraft bags with Polythene liner. If a flavour is not listed below ask us if it is available:

A liquid flavour slurry is sprayed as a fine mist into the drying chamber where the water is evaporated off at 195C. The particles fall to the base of the drying chamber and are collected and placed into 20kg bags. Each particle is approximately 30-50 microns in size.

At Essential we recognise that the world continues to get smaller so our flavour
