Software Programmer

Software Programmer – Food & Beverage Industry

Is Visual Basic your preferred coding language? Do you enjoy project-based work with a focus on continuous improvement? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative team environment?

We are seeking a Software Programmer to help us deliver on business improvement projects that will drive automation and efficiencies.

 

Onsite training will be provided so we happy to receive applications from recent graduates with a keen desire to learn and build their knowledge.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be a perfect fit for this role you will have/be:

  • Diploma level qualification in software programming
  • Demonstrated knowledge of our preferred coding languages – Visual Basic, SQL and MS Access
  • Understanding of computer infrastructure
  • Efficient and accurate coder, along with excellent database management skills
  • Collaborative
  • Strong independent work ethic, with accountability for work performed
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solver and proactive in identifying solutions
  • Project management skills
  • Results-driven
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal

 

YOUR ROLE

You will be:

  • Applying your VB skills to create and modify programs through project-based work to meet business objectives 
  • Writing code that supports project objectives and provides optimal functionality
  • Testing and developing programming modifications
  • Participating in the development of new software applications
  • Troubleshooting to identify potential programming issues with existing programs and correcting any issues identified to meet user requirements
  • Analysing the performance of programs and taking action to correct deficiencies
  • Assisting employees with implemented software-related questions/issues
  • Identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures arising from the queries
